Sylk

Sylk was a personal project that I worked on in my free time. This skin care brand makes homemade bar soaps for women. These soaps are filled with all natural products that are actually good for your skin.

While designing this product I started out by creating thumbnail sketches of logos. Then I took three of my favorite logos and vectored them. The final logo is shown below along with the sub logo. Now that I had the logo I chose the colors for the brand. I decided on earthy green and pink tones to resemble the all natural side along with the vision of power for women. The last step to this project was to create the packaging for the bars of soap.

That is how Sylk was created.

Logo Concepts and Color Palette

Before designing the packaging for the bars of soap I needed to design the logo for the company. To be universal for all of the packaging colors I decided to go with the solid color logo and sub logo.

Packaging Concepts

I created three different scents for the brand. Each scent used different brand colors. The imagery on each package is different but the style and layout are the same.

Packaing Mock-up

Before printing out the packaging I created a mockup to show what the printed version would look like. All three scents are displayed in one mockup and they go together cohesively.
